Seamless Interoperability Between LMR & Broadband Networks

Viking Connect Gateway (VCG) is available on the Kenwood Viking VM8000 Mobile Radio.  VCG offers a new dimension in Broadband to LMR Interoperability. The VM8000 Radio acts as a Donor Radio with an integrated ESChat SDK Gateway, which is able to pass Subscriber ID’s between the ESChat and LMR systems. This capability works across all VM8000 digital protocols, including P25, DMR, NXDN. The VCG also passes call metadata, enabling LMR Emergency Call initiation from the ESChat broadband device.
